Default TRD springs with 18" rims with 225/40 tires?

I just got some 18"rims and 225/40 tires and I love they way they look but I would like to drop it to get rid of that fender gap...

Heres the thing I like dropped cars but I absolutely HATE having to do that angling/curbing thing when you go over Speed Bumps and Dips thats why I decided to go with TRD since they offer the lease height drop

anyways will I rub or have to do that curbing/angling thing if i decide to put the TRD springs on???

Also will putting TRD springs onto the stock shocks wear out ALOT faster and will it be covered by Toyota???

Do they even offer just TRD springs WITHOUT the TRD shocks from the dealer???

yes they do offer just the springs. u wont have to worry about rubbing. i dont think u'll have to worry about driving up and down inclines at an angle unless u have a body kit or lip kit. i have the oem gfx with trd shocks and springs. sometimes i bottom out, sometimes i dont. but i got used to driving at angles so its really no biggy for me.

btw, im not sure if it'll wear the stock shocks out real fast but i think faster then with stock springs. i say go ahead and get the shocks and springs package because u'll eventually have to replace the shocks because of the springs anyways. so save some money by getting the package deal.

I have 18" with the same tires, and TRD lowering springs. You shouldn't have a problem at all. I put on the wheels about 2000 miles ago. I can start to feel my springs are going through. I have about 28,000 miles on my car right now. When I replace the springs I'll end up getting TRD probably.
