does anyone know where i can get an extra set? i'm looking for the trd rear sway bushing, it's the black piece and the metal piece that wraps around it. i just need one set, but if i have to buy it in pairs i guess i'll do that too.

for some reason my local toyota parts dept. tell me i have to get the whole sway bar, and u can't just get the bushings alone.... That's wierd, so TRD was not expecting people to have these broken or lost??? man, that sucks...

 

Would the stock ones fit?

Also, why are you missing bushings?

haha.. no i didn't jack the bar, i broke it on the install.... but any idea on how to get it?

 

You can get bushings with holders from Energy or Prothane, fairly inexpensive. 22mm (7/8"). Coast you $13-15 for a pair, but the bushings are a bit larger OA, so you will need to do some "customizing" of the bracket to get them to fit. If you can't find the black-bushed models (graphite impregnated), opt for the Zerk equipped models, so you can grease tham when they dry out and start chirping at you.

My friend who is a service manager at my dealer, told me the same thing. You can only get the bushings with the sway bar.
