Default TRD Vs. Tein

So I want to lower my car. I was thinking the TRD spring which will lower my car 1.25" all around or the H-Tech Tein 1.9" in front and 1.4 or 1.5 in the back. I also have to consider that I live in Portland, Oregon which has alot of pot holes. Any suggestions? I don't want to get the wrong ones and hate it in the end. If i go with the Teins i'm worried that the back will be higher than the front.

tein's front is lower than rear... i think its more for that aggressive stance....

i have s-techs... looks and rides nice...but too low for the roads here so i'm switching out to TRD's

There are a lot of pics with H-tech and TRD springs on the forum that should help you decide.
I recently decided w/ H-techs myself.

This thread is basically what your looking for:

hmm iceman have we met? i live in portland oregon also and i go to their meet and greets in beaverton as well as the vancouver ones. im not liking my TRD very much... i still think theres too much clearance. depending on where you are in portland, u should be able to do any drop. if u know which road to take... but its more of the driveways u gotta watch out for..

oh if you want to check out other scions and meet up with us, come check us out!

in the pics it looks like he did.....though, I still park far away from those stoppers or I reverse park. you probably wont fit a canister exhaust but any stock looking exhaust would fit

TRD's don't offer enough drop in the front. I like them more than my S-techs, but the front still sits about .3" too high. But then again, I haven't hit my lip kit on my driveway with the TRDs. With my S-techs and no lip kit, I hit every time.

I have H-techs/no lip, and I don't clear most parking stoppers/curbs. There's a few that I can though...

Yeah I think I'm gonna get the H-Tech. I like the brand and the setup. Plus Speed Concept is going to sell me a set for 200 tomorrow. Once I get it on I'll post some pics on the meetup page.
