Default Trouble finding an installer...

Ok, now before anyone says "DIY!!!"... I don't wanna . But really, I'm burned out from the fiasco going on with my exhaust kit at the moment, and I have the money for the install... but I'm having a problem finding any shop that will do it. Most shops have been saying the same thing, which is, "Sorry, we don't do that for your car." Two of said shops were spring/strut shops! That's all they did! So far, the only two I have found are:

1. Meineke - $350
2. AutolabZ - $250

Now, while the 2nd option is my last resort, I would really like to get it done cheaper... and I know no one can start calling shops or anything, but can anyone offer any advice into where in the heck to find shops that will do this? Is anyone else having this problem? Oh, list of shops in my area that say they "can't" do spring installs on my tC:

1. NTB
2. Midas
3. Local spring/strut installer
4. Another local spring/strut installer
5. Local custom auto shop

Too far away from your dealer? Both of the rates you posted are higher than what the dealer charged for my spring install, which was $200.

This is unbelievable! I've called 5 more stores, all of which say the same thing as before... how does no shop here do tC spring installs? I finally got one guy that said he might, didn't quote me on a price, however did say that he was, "concernced about the alignment issue..." and wanted me to, "leave the springs here for a week or so and let me look at it." WTF!?!?

I never do. All I every say is, "Do you install springs?" On a few occasions I said "lowering springs" or something to that effect, but that's all. Their next statement is always, if it isn't, "No...", is, "Ok, what car do you drive?" No way to avoid it.

You're about half right actually. Trucks are probably 50% or so of all custom auto work lol. Yay for... I can't say rednecks, because that would be against my heritage or something . But no, it's either the lifted trucks or old muscle cars. Autolabz is the only "modern" tuner shop in town... we had another called LAExtreme Customs but the lot was bought out by F1 Sports Car, so all that's left is Autolabz.

Let's see... considering Birmingham is the largest city in Alabama...

But to answer, Hunstville is 2-3 hours away, Montgomery is about 2 hours away, and Atlanta is 3 hours away or so.

I've been having the same problem here in middle GA for several months. I went to 5 or 6 shops, including my dealer, and was quoted anywhere from $400 to $600, by the ones who would even do it.

Anyone know a good place in Atlanta or Macon?
