Snapping the bolts can occur right away, or down the road, not to mention making it a pita to take off if you ever need to.

I'm not familiar with the Progress end links, but if they are the heim joint type, over torquing could cause them to bind up. I'd loosen them and re-tighten them to spec...because if they were winged on with the impact they are way over 35 lb-ft.
