nope....I suggest NOT getting coil-overs if your car is a DD.

Go w/ a Spring/Strut combo!

why is everyone such coilovers haters on DDs? I love my coilovers, haven't had a problem with them, and the ride is Great, better than any Strut/Spring combo I've owned

Have u ever ridin in a tC w/ coil-overs before?....Very uncomfortable ride!
depending on which brand they Make Pop or Weird sound going over bumps & turns from My expereince!

Especially if u only plan to get the TEIN Basics...Bad choice!

A good Spring/Strut combo(Progress Springs w/ Tokico Struts) will be More forgiving in the long run and you will enjoy driving around more too!....

But hey if u wanna GO coil-overs go for it....!

just cuz you're old and can't handle the ride doesnt make it uncomfortable for us normal people...

not to mention a two hundred dollar cheaper. Im going h-tech ($185) + tokico (346.66) = $531.66 + Progress Rear Sway ($169) = $700.66 which still gives you money to do little things like led parking brake or what not.

I agree that Struts/Springs are a softer more comfortable ride, but tCs handle %500 better with coilovers, if handling is what you want go coilovers, if a soft ride w/decent handling is what you want go struts/springs

my opinion is sold already on spring/shocks & strut since im not autoxing or aggressive driving. Its really up to you...do you want a DD for looks or performance.

My car Deffinatly does Not have a "soft ride"...its actually Really Bumpy!

When u need the car to Handle it does its job!

well if you dont like your setup then by all mean save a little more and get h&r. Those are alot smoother and better then basic.

I daily drive my ssp and it could be hard at times depending on road condition.. but its a lot better than before when I just had springs, right now I dont bottom out at all or even rub and im even lower.. I just increased the height and it made the ride smoother.. but yeah you may or may not like the ride on dd

I'm daily driven on basics and i LOVE the ride. I was expecting it to be so crappy from all the talk on here, but it's not.

driving on basics is a give take......you get good performance but the ride is bumpier....you learn to live with it.

I am going H&R next year........from what i am told and seen they are great and look hot.

I personally didn't like the ride quality on my Tein Basics, but the performance was top notch and very fun to drive. I switched over to spring/shock combo because the ride was too bumpy for me.

coil overs for the win! i loved my H&Rs and i love my HKS even more :D

i love being able to dial in my own ride height and comfort, something springs/shocks couldnt do. imo springs/shocks are boring (been there done that hotchkis) its the cheap/lazy way out imo

coil overs are for people who want to truely make their car their own. just my $.02

p.s. handling wise they are better at certain ride heights, if you slam them handling wont be as great, but it will look awesome, and depnding on the coil overs you choose (ones with adjustable dampening) the ride comfort can be close to if not better then stock. i know my ride is as smooth as butter and im slammed to the ground.

check out B&G, H&R, or F2 Coil overs, all 3 go really low and ride nice, F2 has more adjustments idk if B&G has any other besides ride height.

if you have the money id say find a set of HKS or JICs or even that last set of Zeals, those are the best ones.
