Default 20 inch wheels

do you peeps think 20" wheels will fit the tC properly? and will 20" wheels fit the tC properly with the TRD springs which lower the car 1"?

if your getting 20".they better be very nice or else on the tC its gonna look like crap
1" is probably the most you can do with 20"s without major rubbing

there are like only a few tC's with 20's and they barely pull it off

Just out of curiosity, do you want 20's just because they are 20's and lets you say "I have 20s"or do you have a wheel in mind that you really like that just so happens to be 20"? I just wonder why so much money is spent on a wheel that barely fits, usually causes rubbing and reduces handling, acceleration and gas mileage to such a large degree...I know everybody wants something different out of there car but it seems like there are way too many sacrifices by going with that large of a wheel. Thats just my opinion and Im in no saying its wrong to get 20s...maybe I just dont get it. Based on what Ive seen, from an appearance aspect, I think 18s are just about perfect and anything larger starts to look a little awkward.

In my opinion. stick with 18"s. or 19"s if you need to.

20's with a one inch drop look sick...to each his own, and they are the same price as 19's do yr homework....i got 19's because they look perfect.
18's are 2 small.

^Word.
However I disagree with that last part about appearance aspects... I think 19s"/20s" actually look good (19s" being my personally "show" favorite), however thats an All Show & No Go configuration..
@ the same time anything larger than 18" is going to cut drastically into performance.

You know what I find really interesting about this & other threads concerning 20's is that when I was looking to put 20's on my tC, everyone said that they wouldn't fit, ride would be terrible, handling would suck, major rubbing issues.

Well I have to tell you they fit fine & I have Tein S-Techs, the ride & handling is better than with the stock 17's & as far as rubbing issues, all I did was remove the plastic wheel well covers and now I have no rubbing issues.

everyone has their own opinion.
I think 20"s on the tC don't look right.

19"s are more expensive than 20"s but look the best.
but 18"s look nice with a bodykit and a tein s-tech drop(my setup)

also depends on the area as well.if your in warm sunny CA weather 20"s are the way to go.
We have alot of snow/slush/ice here so i didn't want to push it.

the handling/power/acceleration/and performance of the tC with 20"s is affected as well

get 20"s if you want show/NOT daily driver
get 19"s if you have the money/showy but daily driver
get 18"s if your a daily driver/showy/and want to kick @ss racing

IMHO, they look too big. the perfect size would be a 19" just cuz they fill up the wheel well nicely, and they arent too bad. i might go with a 2 piece forged wheel, which will be the same, if not lighter than the stock wheel. however...to the comment about rubbin...bro you removed your splash guards...wtf? are you supposed to rub on then? obviously you arent going to rub when there is nothing up there for you to rub.

Well technically they could rub on the wheel well itself or maybe against the frame while turning, but the only rubbing issue i had was the plastic
