Default 2006 tC ABS Light

I have a 2006 Scion tC and the ABS light came on today. The brake fluid level was just above the low level mark. I filled it up and drove the car and the light did not go off.
If it was low enough to set the ABS light will it turn off automatically or will it have to be reset?
If so how do I reset it?

Thanks in advance....jburgess56

you have a bad ABS sensor. never add brake fluid to a vehicle, it will just overflow and make a mess when the brakes are serviced. Brake fluid is a sealed system and NEVER needs topping off. you'll really know when you got a leak.

are you under warranty? if you are take it in pronto and let them also know to check the brake fluid and tell then you accidentally topped it off.

you will still be able to stop but you may have no ABS control. so drive safely and give yourself plenty of room to stop.

hope i helped a bit

the abs sensor isn't bad.... there's a problem w/ the abs system. that's what it's there for.. take it to the dealer n they'll figure it out. if it was your brakes the brake light would come on..

The dealer is who told me to put some fluid in it. Will the sensor set a code? Will the code tell me which tire?

the dealre was way WAY wrong. if the fluid was low the BRAKE lamp will illuminate indicateing teh fluid is low due to needing service of brakes or you have a leak. and youll know youll have a leak without a light.

the code if you have a scanner that can read codes of that nature will tell you the fault. it could most likely be a bad sending unit (sensor) a pinched wire or maybe you have a brake light out?

in my xB i was fiddling around with my taillights and i blew a brake light fuse and every freakin light came on. VSC, TRAC OFF, ABS.

check that too thats a simple fix.
