Default +34 Offset in 18x8 / 225/40/18

Just wanted to know anyone with this setup or something near it. 34 offset in 18x8.. I know that even a 33 offset in 18x7.5 works, but just wondered if anyone knows that if there will be a problem... Thanks.

You will have rubbing in the rear. I have 18x8 +40 offset with 225/40/18, hotchkis drop, MAJOR rubbing problems.

Like I said I had 18x8.5 with tein ss-p no problems... front was dropped all the way... Just take the Pillowball mounts and add just a hint of camber. to make sure you clear

18x8 et34 sticks out only 5mm more than 18x7.5 et33.
i used to have 18x8 et33 plus a 5mm H&R spacer in the rear and i had absolutely no rubbing problems at all. i didnt need to roll the rear fenders either. i was on 225/20/18 tires and dropped 2.5 inches on coilovers.

now i'm on 18x9 et24 (which sticks out 16mm more than what youre asking about) and it fits with some negative camber and rolled fenders.

^^ Holy Crap!! I seee why you dont have any rubbing with the 20, instead of the 40 i am looking at. I want the max protection for my rims, since they are 5-600 per rim.. i will be going 225/40/18 on my tires. thanks for all the info.. LAter.

oops. i made a typo.
i was on 225/40/18 tires, not 225/20. I dont think 225/20/18 exists.

why do mine rub then? is it maybe because my car is properly aligned (no negative camber)?

well the shop is switching out my 225/40/18's for 215/35/18's. They claim that I will still have rubbing. I guess I'll find out soon.

If anything they won't rub as badly. I drove very carefully with the 225/40's and only put about 30 miles on them (tops) and they say that the tires are already ruined.

I don't want to roll my fenders but it's begining to look like it's inevitable.

whats your true offset? and whats rubbing? top or on the inside of the fenders? if its rubbing on the inside of the fender I dont think you have a 35 offset probaly a 30 or 25...what rims do you have?

well it looks like i might go 38 offset for my WORKS..., which is what they are recomending for no rubbing issues, with 225/40/18 tires... I just wonder which one has a deeper dish/lip.. I like that look.. I need to talk to them again.. I dont believe i will have too many probs with the 34 offset.. I just dont want it to stick in too much.. Damnit.. Plus the deeper dish looks sweet... Either way they are Work's so what can i say.... I will let you know what i decide.. i have to call them next week, to decide... I would this weekend but dont think they will be there... oh well.. i hate that i haveto work weekends..but this weekend i took off (vacation), so that will be good.. Later guys and thanks for the info...
