thanks for posting your thoughts guys.

as for weight the site said they weigh 24lbs.

i dont race so it doesnt bother me.

also ill be about the only tc in my town to be running some aftermarket wheels. there is one other brm in town with tenzo mesh wheels. but as far as it goes ive always been the only person to mod their tc here, and that goes for my 1st tc aswell. so i know mine well look good.

Do you're own thing and don't spend THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS just to gain approval of some of these forum famers. And for that - you're doing it right.

Wheels will look nice on that TRD coilover drop. I still don't know why my TRDs won't go as low as yours.
ah dude im sure they go just as low as mine, its the same coilsovers. are you having trouble doing it or just no more threads left? in the back i have about 5 showing, in the front i dont even know lol

agreed; cuz i'd kill myself for spending that much $ on a set of rims that could get bent/tore up from all the construction n potholes n stuff and would only need to save about another grand to go boost instead

It's strange. I have like 4-6 threads left on the front driver side; 0 threads showing on the front passenger side; and 1 or 2 showing in the rear. You car looks lower! I have two theories at the moment. #1: The tC 'looks' lower on stock wheels because of the stock offset and width. #2: I did something wrong during the coilover install.

I wasn't hating on your wheels bro. I was just curious why you chose those. I've had my fair share of "not baller" rims and they've all either bent or cracked on me, so I decided to get something that was better quality. I don't care what rims you buy; its your car and your money. I was just curious.

I'm not hugging anyone's nuts or jerking off to anyone's car or rims. Nor am I bashing anyone in this thread. I understand that you may be used to people bashing you, but I was merely asking a question. I respect just about everyone here, so before you say something try not to assume what peoples intentions are next time.

@mileoutrage
One thing that bothers me is that some of you guys seem to think that buying expensive wheels is a trend or a fad. You guys are aware of the fact that companies like Rays have been around since the 70s.

Not a fad at all. It's just general conception that the majority of the people who have baller wheels like to act like they are superior to others. No doubt it makes your car that much better, but hating on others just because is not cool. I think that's what is being said here.

I'm assuming this is directed towards me.
Do you see your name written anywhere here? vvvvvv

No that's because I was referring to the idiots that DO buy these expensive wheels because they think they'll blend in and become socially acceptable.
No need to explain to me what a good wheel will do for you, I'm a firm believer of "you get what you pay for" and trust me I don't cheap out on anything.
But since I don't own a car for the sole purpose of modding it and dump stoopit money onto it or use it as girlfriend, (notice how I'm not including you in this again) I have no need for 3k wheels.
My Tenzos where the most expensive set and I'm perfectly fine with that.

In conclusion, I'm not trying to come off as a douche so please don't assume that.

yeah that could be the reason, also im running some negative camber so that could be some sort of wierd optical illusion?

anyways pics will be posted once i get everything in, mounted and what not. i have a feeling i might have to set the rear to neg 2 camber instead of the 1.5 i have now idk.

scion_jon I support your idea of not needing "baller class" wheels. There's really no point in having an expensive set of wheel on a daily driven vehicle. As long as one has a set that one's happy with, that's what matters. If someone wants to get a "baller class" set of wheels, go for it, but if not, who cares.

A cool dude buying a nice set of wheels and just asking about a decent set of lugs.
We're waiting on pics of the finished product.
(he ordered a set of gunmetal nuts)
