48mm offset??
#22
dakine, could you explain why?
not saying you're wrong necessarily, but intuitively you're half inch wider with only a 3mm increase in offset.
and half inch = 12.7mm
thanks
either way, i'll see how mine look after this weekend. if it looks THAT bad i'll get some spacers =\

and yes, you are going to rub in the front unless you roll your fenders, but just a little.
however, the rim is just about perfectly flush with the body and does look awesome.
If you are going to drop your car any lower than Hotchkis, be prepared for some serious rubbing
i just got Flik Arctics 18x8.5 stretches on 215 's and the strecch wasnt a huge diff like everyone said it would be i gues sine they are 215/40 and not 215/35 im not sue but the wheels dont rub at all in the front with a 35 offset looks pimp too and aggressive

Bringing this one back from the dead.
I have a set of Rims 18x8 with 48 MM offset with 225/40/18 tires. My car will be lowered 2 inch in front and 1.8 inch in rear.
Questions
1) Will I rub with out spacers?
2) Should I get spacers?
3) Will I rub with the spacers?

that means at 18x7.5 +48, you will be .5 inch wider (12.7mm) but tucked in +3mm more, so technically your new wheels would stick out about 9.7mm from stock position.
Now i'm not sure this is 100% correct because if the rim is wider, it could extend inward too right? if that is the case, then with the same calculations it will stick out 3.35mm from stock.
let me know if this is right, cause i'm putting on 18x7.5 +48mm also.
