Default 5x100 to 5x114 conversion???

Has anyone done this? It seems like there are alot more wheel options out there in the 5x114 size. Just curious if anyone has done a conversion, and if yes, what did you use? I mean where did you get the parts and what all is needed? I suspect that it would be fairly costly though.

Ok, so the next question is how big of a spacer would I need to go with in an effort to push my stock wheels out far enough to give a flushed appeance? I actually don't mind the stock wheels mind you (though they are only 7" wide, are silver, have narrow tires....). don't get me wrong, I may very well end up with some new wheels by next spring/summer but am thinking that I would simply like to push the stock ones out a little bit for now.

Most of the adapters that popped up on ebay seem to be a 1" or 1.25" spacer.

lol damn making the stock wheels flush would require a massive spacer
according to the chart
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=142934
in the front with a 17x7 wheel u need a 17 offset and a 0 offset in the back and the stock wheels r like a 47 offset so your looking at a 47mm spacer for the rears and 30mm spacer for the fronts

Most of the people that have spaced stock wheels use a 20mm in the front and a 25mm in the rear.

I did some measuring last night and came up with about 3/4 to 1" in the front and about 1.25" in the rear. However, in looking at the wheel chart this morning (prior to catching up with the posts on this thread) I came up with the same figures posted above.

As I mentioned yesterday, it looked like alot fo the spacers (event he ones that were advertised at the bottom of this page yesterday) only came in 1" or 1.25".

The goal will be a semi flushed look or ever so slightly tucked. I think that the 20mm/25mm is probably the way to go. That translates to .79" front and about .98" in the rear.

Now I just need to go looking for some 20/25mm spacers. The plan is to swap out my H-tech springs (yep, need more low) for some Racelands and keep a 215/45/17 tire. I would like to keep as much tread under the car as possible at the same time put the car down so the fenders are right on the edge of the tire (0 gap if you will). Sound possible with the 215/45 or should I look at a different size, say a 215/40 or 205/40?

I gotta get some new tires here soon anyway so I figure I might as well get it right the first time. The next trick will be tellin the wife that it is already time for new tires. Stupid stock tires only have 21k on them and they are probably 70% gone! Of course winter is damn near here so I gotta do something here soon.

Anyone know what the hub centric size is on our car? Found spacers (just gotta type in the right search words...duh!). Is our car a 56.1? Just wann make sure I get the right size.

If you're planning to purchase adapters so that you could use wheels of another bolt pattern, you will not be able to use your stock wheels. So your plans of spacing out the stocks will not happen unless you buy another set of spacers that are 5x100 -> 5x100.

If you're interested in using 5x114.3 adapters, than I would say find your set of 5x114.3 wheels first, then buy your adapters based on the specs of the wheels you buy.

I agree with your post. It makes more sense to make the swap to the other bolt pattern if I'm looking at wheels in a different fitment. Right, now, I am so up in the air that I just don't know which direction I am going to go.

First thing first, I need to get some tires here soon. I honestly think I can be happy with the stock wheel provided they are pushed out further and the car sits lower. If I then decide I need different wheels, I am sure I can find what I want in a stock bolt pattern though there do see to be more options out there in different fitments.

For now I am thinking I will just focus on getting the tires, then some new co's, and finally figure out what I am doing with the spacers and what not. That probably makes the most sense right now.

None the less, I still need to know what the hub centric size is if anyone happens to know off hand.

Ive tested 25mm in the rear and depending on how low you are they will right before the fender. Fronts were right on the fender.

Sorry, you missed a word or two. Are you saying that with the 25's on the rear, they are still slightly tucked? And on the front, they are flat out even with the fender? 25mm on both for those results? Just trying to be clear here.

Default 5x100 to 5x114.3

Is it possible to use the same sized spacer both in the front and on the rear? Im looking about converting my 5x100 to 5x114.3. I know this is possible and all but I want to make sure that I can do this and it will be safe? If anyone has some knowledge of this it would really help.

Yeah you can but you have to take into account the offset of the new wheels.

lol sorry. Yes, the rears will be flush against the fender (still tucked) you will have to cut and trim the rear bumper corners tho. Fronts are along the fender line. This all depends on how low you are on stocks.
