Default A 7.5 inch tire on a 8.5 inch wide rim ?

I need to replace one set of aftermarket rims with another set because one rim
began to leak air (for a style that is no longer made).

the wheels I purchased are 8.5 inches wide, but the tires are 7.5 inches wide -
225.40.18; the new wheel offset is 35 and I'll be lowered on TRD springs 1.25
inches all around.

Any concerns/worries ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

225mm is approximately 8.8 inches, BTW.

TRD is a very mild drop. Sounds like you'll be fine.

225 on a 8.5 is virtually no stretch.

205/40 is a small stretch for 8.5...
I'm going to be running a 195/40 on an 8.
Willtheyfit.com will give you a good idea of what the stretch will look like.
