Default Advice for Fender Rolling (Front)

I was wondering how you guys rolled your front fenders (thread is for those who have rubbing issues in the front).
Did you guys take out the fender liner (?). How much did you guys roll?

Pics would be awesome.

Pull the front's by hand and heatgun (or remove) the liners. Depends how much room you need.

The rear you pretty much have to roll and maybe trim the metal seam where the bumper meets if it hits there too.

rears are pretty much done so no more rubbing
so pull the fronts??? w/ hands??? will it even move haha

yes, i used a baseball bat and a heatgun, ground off the bolt that held the bumper to the fender and then removed a fair amount of the lip. But i ran a LOT more aggressive wheel than you can dream about

i have no fender liner!.. i rolled mine with a heatgun and hammer!.. and went down a size in tire i still rub so going to go down another size in tire!...

hmm...how about the plastic rounding thing that is inside the fender? the things that are hold by the plastic black thingies

get a filter sock for it to keep water from making it in.

water will still get in with a sock. Suction is suction. You don't need to worry unless your filter is fully submerged in water.

i have the trd cai so it has a bypass on it just incase it does..

Oh yeah, the front will easily pull out by hand. Only down side is you might get 1/8" gap the next time u unbolt the bumper. the plastic insert that holds the 10mm into the fender is pretty weak.

What you need to to do really depends on the sound your hear. If its a little "shh" its just the plastic liner, so heatgun that and push it away. if its "SKKKT" its metal so pull.

Will, get a CAI bypass valve and and CAI hydroshield. Remember these are water resistant not water proof

Yeah...got nervous when I took my liner out. The filter was damp so I converted to SRI. A hydrosheild should help but I wouldn't trust the filter exposed in front of the tire.

i think i'm going to cut the liner instead of taking it all out. like that japanese dude on youtube who worked on the pink car ^^

yea i got my rear fenders done professionally, but the fronts are 100x easier (less metal to fold).
