anyone ever use Nankang Tires?
the RS-II? or any other type
Just ordered a set of 4 in size 235-40-R18 and they were pretty cheap, had good reviews and a decent tread pattern.
Anyone use these or know of anyone who has? I pretty much only need them to last me 5000 miles.

i think its so crazy that many different people can have such broad based views of the same tire. I typically would rather they just suck or be good, or at least tolerable lol.
I dont see how there can be all these different likes/dislikes.
for the road noise, what psi were you running?

my friend's sidewalls started cracking less than an year of buying them (new), but they never popped or leaked.
like 99% of Chinese tires, Nankangs are good only for their low prices and high treadwear. they suck as performance tires, which is where most of the negative comments come from.

I have them on my car right now. they are a good cruising tire cuz the have a high treadwear but thats all its good for. i took it to the mountains twice and i wasn't impressed with its grip. the stock potenza's gripped better in the mountains than these. and forget about launching with them. won't hook for nothing.
good thing is that its cheap. but you get what you pay for

I had them on my box for awhile, the were alright for daily driving tires, I got them for free and was relaly skeptical about them, but they were alright, and they actually didn't have BAD traction, just not awesome.
