Default Anyone have experience with the Kuhmo Ecsta Asx's?

Hi guys, I was just wondering if I could get some input on some tires that I was looking into to replace my current tires. I'm currently running Falken Ziex 392 on my stock wheels, they've lasted me about 20,000 miles and the tread life is almost at it's end. The tires i want to purchase are Kuhmo Ecsta Asx (215/45/17 stock specs). I was wondering if any fellow tC owners who have had these on their tC could give me their opinions of the quality of these tires (treadlife, roadnoise, grip, etc). Thanks. I'm only asking for opinions on Kuhmo Ecsta Asx', I'm not asking for recommendations.

I have these tires and they're great! Definitely put the stockies to shame. No complaints about grip either, these tires are excellent in bad weather and i drive as if it were a sunny day with no hydroplaning or anything. I would recommend these tires as they are a great bang for your buck. I got mine at about $88/each from tirerack

I'm running them, great tire for the money imo. I know other people will disagree and say it's not a great tire. I've gone through 2 sets on 2 seperate vehicles. Tread life is great, and the grip is def. better over the stock tires.

I've had them a couple of times on my Miata. Great tire for the money.

Good grip, moderate noise, and they last quite a while too. You can't go wrong with Kumhos.

i've read about 50 reviews on this tire and i remember there was a person who said these tires had soft sidewalls because they blew out a tire by simply going over a pothole. any comments?

Great tires so far for the money. I had Bridgestone Potenza Re760 Sports(i loved these tires in the summer) and crummy stock yoko's that came on the car for the winter. I recently switched to the Asx's for my 18's and i like them especially in the rain comparing that to the crappy yokos and the sticky dry weather potenzas...your not really sacraficing too much performance as they are high performance all seasons. I wouldnt say thery're really all that noisy either and treadlife is pretty decent. Def. best bang for your buck.

I don't think that at all. The steering response of the tires are on par with all other performance tires I've had. I think the sidewalls are just fine.

Ok these are great tires...........I have several friends that use them .......they use Proxies for track time and the Kumhos for daily drivers, not a one has said anything bad about them, they grip, they last, they are fairly quiet, they are good tires,I plan on using them for a tire for my Yaris in the late summer........they cost nothing compared to other tires and would trust them on a daily driven car that was pushed a bit anytime.

I have 2 on my fronts, and they're great. So much better than stocks, and for the price, you can't beat it.
I say go for it.

They are a kick @ss tire for the money IMO... I had them on my other tC after the stock potenzas wore out...and the Kumho Estca ASX's handled so much better in wet and dry conditions....they were nice and sticky in the corners, etc.
Oh and fyi.... this is the same tire that a lot of the brand new Vette's come from the factory with...and that's a 180+ mph car. 'Nuff said.. lol.
As soon as I wear out the stock feet on my new tC Im goin' straight for another set of the Kumho ASX's. Just can't beat the performance for the price you pay on these babies.

I believe this model of Kumho is like a 30 or 40K rated tire.

I would agree that they are better than stock, but I have found that the BFGoodrich GForce Sports are a good bang for the buck and are stable when I am cornering. I take corners pretty rough, and these hold on tight (with the suspension upgrades of course)
