Default BBS LM Replicas

Hi Everyone,
I been a long time lurker without being a member. I thought I would join and ask for your guys opinion in what you think.

I got a hold of a company that sells the BBS LM Replicas. They are 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset.
I am trying to see if he would make them 40mm or even 45mm offset. The pattern is 5x100 with the center bore of 57.1

I think these will be a good change since BBS does not offer these wheels for our great cars. The lip on these rims are 1.25" so it isn't that bad at all.

Let me know what you guys think please.

Thanks
Khoa

The blk w red are nice. What's wrong with a 18x8.5 with a +35 offset? That's what I run with my TRD Springs and it looks great. I wouldn't go with anything over a +40 offset. It will look too much like the stock 17s.

do it. 18x8.5 et35 will look nice. use 225/40 tires.
those are actually made for VW's (57.1 is the stock vw centerbore), but they'll look great on our cars.

BBS made the LM in 5x100, but they cost around $700 each.

saw this on vwvortex.com a few weeks ago.

i dont know anything about this vendor.
these wheels are sold/marketed under various names, so this is not the only vendor. i'm sure you can find it for cheaper.

a google search of "BBS LM replica" will yield alot of helpful info.

The only thing that I wonder about is the centerbore. Since it is bigger, do you think these would vibrate? I found one vendor that has them for cheaper than raderwerks. Maybe we can get some sort of group buy to bring the price down? What do you guys think?

I also talked to the person I am dealing with and they said they can mill the wheels down 3mm to make the offset down to 38mm.

the ALT copies are not as good as these copies. the ALT spokes are too fat & wide near the center and too thin at the ends. the ALT copies have been around for 4-5 years. Euro guys (i used to be one) never accepted as good enough.
these new ones came out recently specifically for Euro models (you can find them in 5x120, 5x112, and 5x100 with the respective BMW, Mercedes, and VW/Audi factory centerbores).

here's a copy with a real BBS center cap and valve stem (some guy in socal is selling them)

btw, i think i'm a bigger wheel ***** (if you count japanese and euro only)

The wheels i found definitley don't look like the ALT wheels, the ALT is definitley different. The spokes are different and look at the stem placement. The biggest difference is the center, those look nothing like the real LMs at all.

MIRO Wheels.

The other BBS LMs that I found:

Definitely different...its a night and day difference.

Well..Whatever you think. Doesn't matter, but I just love these wheels. both LM Copies are great.

If you want to put these on the car. do it. Thats why I did it. I wanted to be different and these are different. I hope it works out well for you.
