dude there's no comparison to stock. My RE 92's would ALWAYS spin in first gear in the rain unless I was uber gentle with the pedal. I can definitely feel better grip and they corner wonderfully. I don't feel the bumps on the road as much either. I can’t believe the stock tires were only tread rated 160, however I got 45k on them and prob could’ve done another 5 if I didn’t get a flat on one. The Proxes are rated 300 though so I’m hoping to get some good mileage out of these. Hey question for you 225 PX4 owners… what do you keep your inflation at and how often do you check it?

It's nice to get four tires mounted and balances for $34. The inflation on my 225/45/17 is at 35 psi cold tire pressure (front) and 31 psi in the rear. I check my tire pressure every other fill-up w/ my own pressure gauge of course.

I keep em all at about 33PSI all around. Max psi is 51. I keep em all the same so I don't have to deal with it when I rotate em.
I don't check em that frequently unless something looks wrong. Maybe once every month or 2.

I had my tires put on today and the difference in performance is deff there. I can slam it down into second and not spin second anymore. The 225 was a good choice also because now it seems that it helps with potholes a bit. Another thing i like so far is that they dont screeeeeech when you spin the tires (cops for some reason dont like that). hehe. A+ for $93/each

I was shocked that it cost $150 to get them mounted and balanced. They didnt charge me for the recyle of the tires so the price was even a bit more then what I paid. I was honestly expecting $60 not 150 ..but whatever ... thats that. im happy

Nice to hear you had a good experience with edgeracing.com, so sad that other online tire companies don't offer the PX4s. I recently went to Streets of Willow in Rosamond, CA. and had pretty good experience with the PX4s, they didn't chunk or melt bad at all. It was 100 degrees, I ran my car 5 times , 20 min. sessions for a total of 100 minutes track time... the supercharger performed well; I got to do several passes even though I was only on stock suspension.

Here's a pic of me in the grid, as you can see I am the only tC out there because I went with my friend's mr2 event.

This is my favorite canyon road I enjoy driving once a month and also where I gave my PX4s a nice break-in before going to SOW.
Glendora Ridge Road meeting at Azusa Canyon...

waggz, go hit up some curvy roads and I can guarantee your tires will be making a sweet screeching noise while your breaking in that top-layer of tread. ENJOY your PX4s, I certainly am!!!

Also, $150 dollars!!! to get your tires mounted and balanced, YOU got ripped off!!!... I got mine mounted and balanced (sticker weights) for $34. I would never pay that much. Next time.. I recommend going to the most ghetto city you know and find a small tire shop, they will always do it just as well for far cheaper!
Enjoy your PX4s buddy!

^yup - im going to another place next time. The good part about this is that they do free rotations every 4k miles ....so $20 free each time I get them rotated ... it will add up to a decent deal
