The other thing is that they don't make the exact tire size. The closest one could get to with that tire is 215(225)/50-17 and that is $132 a piece at tirerack.

Im really thinking about Neogens. Ive read some pretty good reviews about them and I guess they are an all season tire too. I can get them at $93 a tires.

The real catch though is that the "high performance tires" on the tC stock are actually lower standard than tires half thier price. Plus, the potenzas stock are considered all season. The Avon TECH M550 AS are a million times better for a lower price than the stock tires.

^^ 100% agreed!!

Sidenote: I'm really glad that I got the yokos on my tC stock, they really seem to be alot better, I can't complain about them for a stock tire. Of course the $ is ridiculous, but anybody who would repurchase stock tires deserves to get ripped off!

No one has said anything about the BF Goodrich g-Force KDW 2... I LOVE them. They absolutely rock, the only bad thing is that after a few thousand miles they get noisy..

I've heard those are decent tires, but the problem is that they are summer tires, not all-season. Down in TX, it doesn't matter, but most places in the country, we need all-season tires.

Yeah the BF KDW 2 ROCK in the rain. I havent had any better tire in the rain. They are definately not just for dry conditions. Again, I am not sure how they are in the snow because, well, I am in TX...

In the next month, before the snow starts falling.. I'm picking up these tires:
http://www.dunloptires.com/dunlop/di...ea=Performance
Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Performance All-Season.

These tires were recently tested by Consumer Reports, and were rated Best in Test.

I am usually a very strong advocate for consumer reports, but I think they may have dropped the ball on this one. Take a look at tireracks reviews for dunlops:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/dunlop/dunlop.jsp

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...jsp?type=UHPAS

hmmm

I don't know who's right or wrong here quite honestly, but the dunlops are quite unimpressive at tirerack... (not trying to disuade you one way or another, just wanted you to have all the facts)

Ok. I'm getting wheels that are 18x8.5 35mm offset. Will the Avon Tech M550 AS Fit these?? I heard good reviews on the Falken RT-615's too. Will these tires fit my wheel?

So i'm a new guy to wheels and tires but i'm assuming the offset of my wheels should be the same number as the tires, right? (ex: 225/35WR1

18x8.5 35 offset will rub no matter what the tire... can't get something with a larger offset?

225/40R18's will fit ok if you want to chance it, though. The Avon Tech M550's come in that size.

Goodyear Eagle F1-GS D3 is the best rated tire in the rain according to caranddriver and tirerack. Actually overall #1 max summer tires. Tirerack had a sale on these for $88 a piece a while back in stock size (215/45/17). Check them out...

Kumho ECSTA ASX tires are only $80/pop and they give the PZeros and AvonTech a real run for the money, especially if you live in a snow-free area.
