you will be fine in the rain...

Weve had a fair amount of rain over the last 2 weeks here in SoCal and I must admit these tires are quite good in the rain. The RT-615 is the successor to Falkens RT-215 and one of the areas they spent a lot of time on was improving wet weather performance, I would have a hard time comparing their performance vs the stock potenzas, but they are certainly no worse than the stock tires if that helps to answer your question. I have nothing but good things to say about these tires and would recommend them to anyone.

better than the rs2? i dont really think so. theyre both are great bang for your buck tires. treadwear is virtually the same.
70 dollar difference is huge not to mention shipping, mounting and balancing on top of that. im not convinced one tire is better than another. its really a personal preference.

There was an article in SCC or one of those mags and they did an overall tire test and they stated that the RT-615 was their favorite and bested the RS2 in the tests they put it through. Im not saying the RS2 is bad as i almost bought it, but they were the same price as my Azenis when I bought them so it was really a no brainer for me.

For all out grip, the Falcon wins.
For wet weather, the Hankook wins.
For steering response, the Falcon wins.
For weight, the Hankook wins.
For price, the Hankook wins.
What to do?
It depends on where you live, what kind of driving you do, etc. If in a rainy climate like mine(as of last summer), I chose the Hankooks in 235/40/17 and love them, far better performance than I though they would be. They are for what little street use our car gets(to and from driving events mainly) and wet weather autocrossing.
If I was still in So Cal, I would of gone with the Falcons. Even though they are a bit heavy, the added grip for ultimate dry cornering would of made me chose them.
Now for dry weather event tires, I will run the Hankooks to savey money at track days but if I was going to have a third set of wheels and tires, the Falcons. For autocrosses, there really is only one choice, Hoosier A series, I will need them, costly bastards that they are though
The best tire for you, depends on your "needs" budget and purpose, figure that out, the best tire will become evident once you do so.
