Default curbed rims

hi guys! im new here but i found the site and now i wanna vent cuz im pretty ____ed off.

ok sooooo i got my tc (azure blue 5 spd manual) exactly 2 weeks ago from today. and im perfectly content with it because im a girl and well.. im easily satisfied with cars as long as their cute LoL. but anyhow.. so i've been extra careful with my car because it's my baby and i dont want anything happening to it. THEN! tonight i went out and when i was leaving my parking spot i turned my wheel too early not realizing the curb was so close and i f***ing curbed my rim and now its all scratched up along the side on half of the front right rim. im extremely upset that i could almost cry. anyhow... does anyone know if they would like, replace just 1 rim (they're stock) and if so, how much it would cost? THANKS!

I would suggest checking out ebay... you can find anything on there.. especially stock rims

It's funny how she goes through all the phases of emotions in her paragraph....from happy to sad. Your best bet is to go to an auto salvage yard and jib one rim.

Good Luck, AP looks good with a girl nice choice.

lol it's Azure Pearl (color of your tC) I have the same... ebay would most likely be the cheaper way to go before your dealership if you decide to go that route.. lemme know if you need any help with the ebay thing

thanks for the site.. but what does this mean:

These are take-offs, not brand new wheels.

do they mean they're used or something?

take offs means they were on the tc's that came into the dealerships, but the dealers immediately took them off....so essentially they're brand new

They were rims taken off the car when the owner either upgraded to the EMX 18's and forgot to ask for their stocks back, or were taken off when the owner purchased aftermarket wheels through the dealer.

Either way they are brand new rims. No more used than any rim that came on a brand new tC.

you can fix them yourself if you're willing to put in the elbow grease

your going to pay $150 up to around $300 for a new wheel from almost anywhere when there are wheel finish shops all around the place that charge between 50-75 dollars to repair exactly what you did, it happens all the time and is quite cheap to fix rather then replacing the whole wheels since all you did was a cosmetic blemish rather then a bent wheel. google "wheel repair shop" for your area and I know you will find something alot cheaper then replacing the whole wheel.

Here is one place. I am sure you can find a shop nearer you--but this kind of explains the process:

u'll get over it soon, all four of my rims were scratched from curb parking. and at first i was thinking of the same thing; replace them with new ones, but as time past by, i got over it. u'll get over it soon. but if getting a new one makes u feel better, then go get one.
