1) i HIGHLY doubt that. just a cheap marketing gimick to get "JDM fanboys" to buy their wheels...and obviously, it works...

2)if they are made in japan, they are a crappy knockoff brand. i've never seen or heard of them on any JDM or USDM car...or in any magazine, etc...

1. call them up and ask them. i bet you they tell the truth and i bet you when i get the boxes and see japan invoices and take pictures you can bend over and take it and say i was right.

2. knockoff of what. VOLK DOESN'T EVEN DO THIS. the only other company i know that does this is jline. and the reason you haven't heard of them before is because they're marketed towards high end cars. not a 17,000 scion.

3. who in the hell are you to judge how i spend my money and do what i do. i want to be different and i will do it so lay off and stop posting

4. why would i be a jdm fanboy my car isn't even avaliable in japan..?

if you wish to talk to me about it please feel free to do so in a pm. this has gotten way out of control and i'm going to have an admin delete this thread. its pointless for people to argue how i spend my money and what my tastes are. you wont be hearing much from me on this site any longer.

because he can? I say if people want to spend money like that, let them! Many people have spent 4k+ on forced induction... To each their own!
yeah i get that, but in this case if the wheels alone cost 5k the guy could have probably just bought a "better" car, i guess that really could go for the people that got the force induction upgrades, I guess its just a personal thing, seems like too much money to put in to a car that cost 3 times as much as the wheels its on.

just a second note, the wheels look nice and im sure they will look great on the tc BUT i think you could have saved some cash by just getting some cheaper wheels that are still high quality and look the same. Either way all that matters is that you like them, make sure to post pics.

High end? STi's are high end? My friend is sponsored by JLine. They market towards every car. Jline, HRE, iForged... They don't care who buys their wheels. Super street has run hre ads before. who reads super street... 80% hondas... with d16's....

answer to 4. kids are weird.

times two on the insurance... bendy bendy... if the wheel is perfectly flush... you are going to have to stretch the tire...

http://www.hdautoart.com/aaADVERTISING.htm

and i'm not a kid, in fact i'm older than you if your profile is correct.

agreed but since nobody has never seen or heard of them i'll evaluate the quality when i get them. i'm sure they'll be nothing but amazing and when you get volks and ____ all you're doing is paying for the name.

congrats, you overpaid (by a LOT) so you can say you have JDM rims. then you'll get sick of them in less than a year and go buy some different ones...

following your logic....WHY PUT HIGH END WHEELS ON A CRAPPY SCION TC???? :D

its called GHETTO FABULOUS son. if you paid over a grand (on wheels for your SCION), then you over paid.

so, based on the other responses you've gotten, you seem to be the only one who thinks you made a wise deal. cuz frankly, no one really seems too impressed with their look.... they look like Volk knockoffs
