for real! I cant find any other info out there and this video sucks with all the quick cuts haha
There's a lot of ways to rent a Eastwood roller for ~$40 so this really wouldnt save much money but it looks like it may save time and effort. and may actually be more effective. What makes me nervous about the Eastwood roller is that the force is coming from the hub so I would worry about accidentally pushing the fender outward.
Seems like that would be much harder to accidentally do with this EZ-R roller....

well with the eastwood roller you control how much pressure is applied...you could put a lot of pressure and get a bit of fender pull going, or just the right amount to minimize pulling...i think this tool would make the fender uneven since its not evenly distributing the force as a roller does since the roller is mounted while this is just your own strength and judgment...might create some vertical creases on outside of your fender

I might rent a Eastwood roller soon then. I wont be buying new wheels any time soon, just running a large spacer on my stockies, but I figured I could just get rolling out of the way now so when I do get new rollers down the line its already done :-/
I just wish there was a way to do the rental without having to deal with all the shipping and what not

^ I agree 100%. I've had a Eastwood roller for a couple of weeks now and it's easy to use, great results, and you can pull/flare your fenders with it.

yeah...phonebooks...cool way to do it, but i rather save my paint and fenders from ghetto status...
i bought an eastwood roller a while back...its a bit tricky to get the hang of it but once you got it down, its literally a 5-10 minute per fender

I've never seen the phonebook rolling go wrong... Not that it doesnt have the massive potential too and probably will with me, It just seems that people get good results from it.

well I ended up scoring a rental deal of eBay. The roller should be in by the end of the week so I'll be doin this little project over the weekend end. Any body got tips??
I feel a bit silly goin though this just to run spacers on my stockies, but I'm glad I'm figuring out these fitment issues before I actually get serious about investing in real wheels

^ Two points of advice from my experience. Be patient with everything you do in terms of fitting wheels, and don't go too crazy with fender rolling/modding until AFTER you get wheels. Now that you already have the roller coming just roll as much as you can as clean as you can, but take your time so it doesn't come out wavy. And keep it heated with a heat gun often, use a friend to help you keep it hot. I scored my heat gun from harbor freight for like $20 and it worked great. No paint cracks or chips.

I know my priorities will always favor performance over appearance, so I won't be going crazy with flushness and fitment much more than I achieve with my spaced stockies so they do serve as a good model, but I do see what you are saying so I'll try to minimize the fender modding as much as possible.
The biggest thing I'm concerned about right now is the part of the plastic bumper where the famed lag screw resides. I know plenty of people run without it, but I think even with out it I'm gonna be rubbing the bumper itself
