Getting some new tires. Want your opinion.
I'm looking to get some new tires in a couple months since the tC's stock Bridgestone's suck. Anyway, I would like to get some opinions regarding some new tires. I live in Utah so I need a good all season tire for the snow. So far, the tires that stand out on tirerack.com are:
Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
Continental ContiExtremeContact
Yokohama Advan S4
Does anyone have these tires that might be able to share some experiences? The Bridgestone and Yokohama's are twice as expensive as the Continentals. Would it be worth it to spend more? Are there other tires out there that I should consider?
Thanks!

Another for the proxes 4 - they aren't on tirerack, so you won't see them there. You can see them on www.1010tires.com if you want a review, but don't buy them there, check out his link above for edgeracing.com to purchase em. 215/45-17 or 225/45-17 on stock rims is fine.

Get a custom made Yokohama Y-Rated tires with "hydraulically retractable spike studs"... And you're destined to have the Best ever mod here in SL.
Get Goodyear Eagle F1s, I heard they are Y speed rated and for used as Rally tyres... My friend uses it for his Impreza.
Or you could use Yokohama Avids W4S they are pretty good on snow. Also both are much cheaper than the ADVAN S4

i'm running the stock 215/45/17 on my oem rims. and no, don't got any canyons in maryland, but they handle great at high speeds on the interstate. and like i said, august 5th is my first time at an auto x event, i'll try to make a review for you there.
i do drive down my narrow windy backroad on a regular basis hugging every corner just fine.

I switched from stock to Proxes 4's and have never looked back. I even converted a few friends. I've been on mine for almost a year now and they aren't even halfway burned down. Keep in mind though that I drive fairly hard most of the time.
Basically great handling, better tread wear than stock, and has a very nice looking tread pattern to boot.

i drive about 20k miles a year, some drive 10k, so i would be pointless saying driven for a year.

Toyo Proxes4 last between 25k-30k miles. Depending on your driving style. It's about as good as it gets for an ultra high performance all-season tire. Low profile tires don't last that long, just the way it is.
But when you look at what the Toyo Proxes4 gives.. excellent dry/wet traction, braking, handling, steering feel, noise, ride comfort and good mileage (both how many miles they'll last and gas mileage, no drop in gas mileage like some tires can cause) You won't be sorry you got them. They're a very good match with the tC!

they are also both very grippy, the rt being the better of the two imo.
