Help me decide if I should change the rims. pics inside.
A while ago, I picked up some flik wasps 17" and used the stock tires.
however when I first got them, I was kicking myself thinking they were too small.
So I decided to start over from scratch and preordered 18" tenzo dc-6
the new wheels have yet to arrive, so I think I can still cancel the preorder,
yesterday I went to kragens and decided to pick up some wet tire finish..
I didnt realize it would improve the look of the wheels this much, and now im torn between staying with the current set or just continue with the new wheel plans.
Id save myself a lot of money and have a lot of bills, so I dont know if its a necessary to change out the wheels. at first I thought it was an emergency, because the rims looked so bad, but after the wheel cleaner it looks a lot better,

should I go through with the upgrade? how do these rims look now with the wheel cleaner?
Now im torn... after glossing the tires the rims dont look as small as they used to.
or maybe im just starting to get used to their look?

theyre the stock yokohamas
dunno much about tires, the tires that are supposed to come with my new wheels are kumho 711s,
any other recommendations for tires under $150 for 18"?

it says its an ultra wet and shine formula?
comes in a little spray bottle for $6 or so and the bottle claims it lasts up to 4 weeks.
I actually applied it once and it wasnt black and shiney enough, so I applied it a second time 5 minutes later according to the instructons, after the second application it got really shiney and dark.
in regards to the wheels,

deciding is very difficult.

I kind of like the thickness of the stock tires, I dont think they look fat. and after the glossy wet spray it makes them look even tinner.
if I go lo pro, doesnt that make the wheel gap even bigger?
I used the trd springs and its a very minor drop, in hind sight I shouldve gone with tien s springs/

Sure they look nice but I see no practical advantage to lo pro tires.
1. they make your car even lower
2. increase wheel gap, meaning bigger rims or even lower springs are needed to fill that gap.
3. because of the increased wheel gap, your wheels appear smaller when looking at the whole car.
4. pot holes kill your rims
so IMHO, lo pro's belong at shows and not on the street. they are too impractical for the street.

I decided to go with the dc6, otherwise id pay $180 for a restocking fee for wheels Ive never even seen.
oh well..
I also upgraded the tires from kumho 711s to nitto zr neo gens.
