Here's the next debate, Falken ST115 or Falken FK452!?!
I'm set on Falkne ST115's but i noticed the new model, the FK452 looks pretty good too. It's supposedly supposed to replace the fk451 and the ST115. Does anyone have any input on which tire is "nicer" lol.

I have the FK452 on my 19s and they're great imo. I haven't driven them to their limit, but I heard they have strong sidewalls... so if you're stretching your tires like me, the 452 should be your choice. Tire noise is minimal as well.

Ok...changed my mind...go with the ST115! They have a 360 treadwear compared to the FK452's 280 treadwear. The ST115 will last much longer and can perform equally with the FK452. I will be getting the ST115 over the FK452.

Yeah if you ever go look at just the treadwear it is all relative... As for the St115's to the 452's i would go with the 452's... you will most likely get good treadwear out of both, just look at the rating, and performance. you really want to get an all season performance, or atleast a really good wet tire... The St115's are good, but if i had the choice, i would either buy the 452's or a compairable tire to that one is the TOYO Proxies 4's... Do not go with any 215 tires bro, you will regret it.. No protection for your 19's.. Make sure you get 225/35/19.... Having tht thin of a tire you run the risk of damaging your rims....especially if they are heavy 19's....

ST-115=Luxury Performance(quiet and harder compound,so not as sticky but lasts longer)
452=All Out Performance (softer compound, stickier, but dont last as long.
Rule of thumb add 2 zero's to treadwear rating to get average mileage. 280=28,000 360=36,000...

personally i have Azenis 615's cause I like the stick. I work in the wheel and tire industry and I know some people over at Falken. Some of the people have them on their cars at my work too. There is only a 8000 mile difference in treadwear

There is one little secret about tread wear numbers: They are not comparable from one manufacturer to the other. Those tread wear numbers are valid only when comparing apples to apples. Each tire manufacturer sets his own numbers. One manufacturer may rate a 400 tire as comparable to another manufacturer’s 300 tire. Tires are not government tested and regulated. Tread wear is used only as a comparative between the tires of the same manufacturer.
