I need help..
I'm contemplating on getting a set of 17x8" wheels with a 35 offset to go on my stock 215 tires. I'm worried that the rim or tire will rub the inside of my fenders. I was hoping that someone could post pictures with a setup similar to this where you are lowered. (I'm running tanabe df210s and tokico shocks all around 2.0 in the front and 2.2 in the rear)
I would get my fenders rolled but as of right now I cant find anyone in my area that would do it. I was thinking maybe I could get by with them without rolling the fenders but idk. I'm at a loss for words.
btw I realize there are other posts similar to mine but not exact for me to feel comfortable buying the wheels.
Another question... does anyone know the offset of the Aerospeed Onyx? 17x7. Those are on the car now but I did not order them so idk the specs.
Heres a pic

^LMAO, seems someone's trying to get their post count up to sell something.
Just get the wheels you want to rock and if any fender rolling is needed then put in work. You obviously know what needs to be done if be, search your wheel specs on the forum. You're planning on keeping the 215/45 17 tires I think you'd be ok. If there would be any rubbing it'd probably be on the little bump on the fender liner on turns by where the fender and bumper meet. That's where I'm rubbing on some bumps/dips while turning(but I took care of that though) and I'm on 225/40 on 18x7.5 +42, car is lowered to the fender on top of the tire.

^yeah it's so friggin bugging because I have 100+ posts on YSTC but it doesn't help me here... go to tirerack.com and enter your wheel size and it'll show matching tire sizes... IMO you're better off getting a wheel+tire set up known to work on the vehicle than risk rubbing... there are calculators that allow you to input a tire size and see what the complete diameter of the wheel+tire is. divide that by 2 and that's the clearance in inches your fenders need to be. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

Nothing negative was toward you. RS1 is trolling to get his post count up leading this thread to nowhere when the question could/should have been asked here https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=142934 . And yes, soon enough, /thread.

You will be fine! I got 225 on a 17x8 with H&R sport springs which dropped more than advertised (which i like)! I dont rub! I have on a serious storm drain dip as i turned but thats it!

The stickies at the top of this section are for your benefit. If you would use the Offset Calculator, you could actually see the difference between the wheels you have now and the ones you want.
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=175662
Using that would tell you (assuming your current wheels are +45 like stockies) the new wheels would extend 23mm more than the old ones. Multiply that by 25.4 (to get it in inches if you desire), get some measuring tape, and get to work.
If you want to know what the offset of your current wheels is, remove one of the wheels and follow these steps: http://www.ehow.com/how_5021837_calc...el-offset.html
