I think more than 80lbs. I used to do that but now I invested in a impact wrench w/ torque sticks. When I torque my to 80lbs with the stick I can easily get them off by hand. Before when I stepped on them I would have to step on them again to get them off : / .

Hand tight only please, I busted a nut overtighting it. Lolz busted a nut, caught that a bit late. I meant to say the whole stud got jammed in there. It really sucks cost me about 300 bucks at the dealer to get fixed

300 bucks?? holy cow! Just use a little R-134a refrigerant, turn the can upside down and smack the rest with a hammer/screwdriver combo and it'll shatter LOL. New wheels studs are cheap too.

I would do 80 ft-lbs, since they are aftermarket wheels probably with acorn style lug nuts. 80 seems pretty universal for aftermarket lugs/wheels. I think 76 ft-lbs (what Toyota recommends) is for the stock shank style lug nuts.

If you have aftermarket rims I would torque them to 80lbs, take it for a spin then recheck them to make sure they didn't loosen. I have Motegi's with the tuner style lugs and I find they tend to loosen a little after the first drive.

Does that really work? I have a wheel lug stuck from when i did my springs and it broke off..
