I'm a noob to wheels/tires

I have the stock rims and 215/45-17 wheels on my tC.
Will rims that are 17 x 7.0, 5 x 100 lug pattern, and 40mm offset work with those tires?

Yes. The OEM wheels are also 17x7. The only difference is the offset, but that has no bearing on the tires and will actually be better than stock anyway.
