Default Info/Input Needed on STP-1 Fitment

First off, yes I am a noob to the Scion scene, but have been trying to do as much research as possible to avoid my first thread being "help me with offsets" but I do need some help.
I purchased a set of stp-1s for my gf's tc 17x8.5 17x10 ET 30/25, and have a set of tires I am pulling off my Futuras, 205/45 and 215/45, from my reading it seems as if most of you are running a 40 series.. will i be ok running a thicker sidewall?
I am also looking to know if I should make some spacers before tossing on the coils and wheels, I want it to be a one stop sorta deal since she works alot and I dont really have the time to mess with going back and forth getting everything right. Would rather have everything lined up ready to be tossed on and good to go.
Thank you for your help and taking the time to read.
Pic of my Jetta (I swear I know what Im doing.. just not with TC's.. yet)

it just all depends on the tire. if you where to go with falken 912s you will be fine just make sure you roll your fenders but if your looking for a good stretch i would go for a 40 series. im running 215/40 on all four tires on a 10 wide with falken 912s and its a good stretch for me.

they are 512s. The pic I posted of my futuras is with a 215/45 on a 10.
the pic of my car was when i had 912s which had way less stretch.
Rolling fenders was def on my todo list. i know any rubbing is going to freak her out haha
I have these tires so I would obviously much rather put them to use then buy new tires.
