I've seen more than just that figure posted here, in one thread people stated 26 pounds, which I know is BS. Who has weighed them? I wonder because you stated "~22", instead of something like "21.9" or "22-1/4" pounds. I just wish someone would provide a definitive answer, because it is so important, when trying to determine the best bang for the buck in lighter weight wheels.

It's cheaper for xA's.... smaller wheels and 4-lugs are cheaper and more common.

I stated ~22 pounds because it's the weight I've seen/heard posted the most. The ~ means give or take a bit

Looking at this thread leads me to believe they're only around 19 pounds, which is a BIG difference, compared to 22.

And regarding the definition of "~", no s|-|1t, sherlock!

The price isn't bad on them (usually around $200 a wheel in 17), but they weigh about 21lbs each, as a fellow tC owner discovered. Far from lightweight, and heavier than stock, actually.

I'll stick with my 17x8 ATech Finalspeed Erasers. 17.5lbs each. Which doesn't mean much, considering that the 245/40 rubber on it weighs 23lbs.
Ouch, 21 lbs? Edgeracing says the 5zigen Fn01r-c's in 17X7 are 16.5 lbs each (Or are they only referring to the smallest size, the 15"?)

Agreed,...mine just came in:

I love how deep the lug pocket is..I guess thats what a +35 offset gets you

i have an even deeper lug pocket because of my 17x8 +32. its pretty deep and can be annoying when ur taking off the wheel/tire. you have to be careful not to knick it with your socket/lug key.

a good tip would be to do what i did. i put duct tape all around my socket and my lug keys so i wouldnt scratch the inside of that pocket everytime i needed to take off my wheel

Yeah, but you need to make wider search options so we can see wheels beyond what is "recommended". There should be a way to search OZ for example and see the weights for all sizes...not just by application search. That would be a great feature that would be appreciated by a lot of users IMO.

Nobody mentions Centerline wheels because its a domestic brand that mostly caters to trucks.

I would get the RPMs.

I have a set on my Civic...17" at 13.x lbs each.

And they are only around $150 a rim.

www.wheelweights.net is a giant list.

To broaden your search, the Subaru Impreza (95-2006 non Sti) uses a 5x100 with +48 to +53 offest. Many of the Rota, OZ, etc. rims for the Subaru I think will fit the Scion, but I would call and verify. I believe the center bore diameter on the Scion is a bit smaller than the Subaru (at least that is what I experienced, I have Subaru 16" steels from a WRX on my car now for winter).

I'd also be surprised if the stock scion rims are more than 18-19 lbs. I find many of the stock manufactured rims are typically fairly light weight, and durable. I know the Subaru rims were not heavy, and very strong, so buying after market many folks put on heavier rims/tires.

I believe if you contact Kosi, they can make a K1 with any bolt pattern/offset you want, it will just be expensive. If you get Grassroots Motorsports, the tirerack ads in that magazine show many competition/lightweight wheel options.
