i was going to get the zigens but opted not to because they were 25 bucks more then my extended rays. but these are a little heavier then the rays by a few grams and are made of aluminum =( . so i opted for the rays extended for weight and material. the zigen pro racers are still nice though. I had a set of 16" 5zigen proracer GNs on my old civic in bronze which i loved but i was owned by _____ theives. however i love my wedsports now even more lol

Do you know the actual weight of the Rays and what kind of material they are made of?

Thanks

taken from evasives site

"Rays Engineering, the maker of Volk Racing Wheels, has released their new DURA-NUT, these racing quality lug nuts are extended extra long for quick and easy installation and removal. Made from Duraluminum, these lug nut are extremely strong and light (the Rays lug nuts are 0.8 oz. each compared to 2.1 oz. for the stock pieces)."

i know the 5zigens are are heavier. my friend has them and it was a noticable dif. in weight.

Did you just weigh the difference with you hands? Are your rays the extended or the short lugs? Does you friend have the extended or the short lugs?

Well I never said you were wrong. I just think its incredible that you can feel the "obvious" difference between .8oz and .9oz and as far as being bored sorry for having a postal scale on my desk.

mw, the kind of ignorance you pointed out reminds me of a joke. this chinese guy is sitting at the bar next to a jewish guy and they're both drunk. the jewish guy punches the chinese guy from his bar stool. the chinese guy gets up, shakes it off and asks "what was that for?" the jewish guy says, "that was for pearl harbor!" the chinese guys says, "pearl harbor? that was the japanese, i'm chinese". the jewish guy says, "japanese, chinese, vietnamese, all the same".
so the chinese guy thinks for a bit and then punches the jewish guy from his bar stool. the jewish guy gets up, shakes it off and asks "what was THAT for?" the chinese guys responds, "THAT was for the titanic!" the jewish guys say, "the titanic? that was an iceberg!". the chinese guy says, "iceberg, steinberg, goldberg, all the same".

back on topic....i remember....those were nice wheels, but the photos no longer work.
(c'mon the joke was funny).
