Default Need a Good Sticky Tire

I'm overhauling my rims and tires with in the next week or so regardless of the season change. I'm going with a 5Zigen FN01R-C 18x8.5" +48 rim with 245/35/18's in mind. A few people over at Yoursciontc are running a 17x8.5 +48 (245/40/17) and have no issues with rubbing so this gives me peace of mind even though every place I call for a price quote says they won't. Anyways, I don't know to much about tires so I was looking for a good sticky tire that will be used only in the summer. I was just going to go with Toyo T1R's. Can you guys help me out with this one.

BFG FTW - I LOVE my BFG G-Force KDW NTs.... Beautiful tread pattern, really sticky, and highly rated.

Do those tires hold first and second gear at full boost?

Yokohama AVS ES100 are very sticky... only problem is that the tread wear is bad and they'll only last you about 15k miles.
