I had my tires balanced and rotated yesterday, 2 weeks back I had to put in a plug for a flat and today on my way back from a hang out my tire light came on, this was roughly after a 50~70 mile drive since the rotation.

My question is, is the light coming due to the balance/rotation or is there something legit wrong with my tires

any answers appreciated.

your light just needs to be reset.

it is more likely from getting the tire plugged up. the 05-06 tpms sucks. my car was on its rim one afternoon, but luckily there was a good year right around the corner, and i drove it over and got plugged, and then the next day it was like "oh, yeah, you have a flat tire".

just open the manual and see how to reset it, and check your tire pressure.

I think the 05-06 system works just fine. Mine has only come on once, when one tire was 4 psi lower than the other.

As long as people actually follow the manual and reset it properly, it works.

+1

Just don't use the tire pressure monitoring as your only source of information. Be observant, check them once/week anyway, and you're good to go.
