I am going to change 4 tires for my tc this Friday...
i have stock 17" wheels...
Now in my mind...there are two types of tires

Kumho Ecsta AST or Falken Ziex ZE-512


which one would you guys preferred to put on yours??

or any others opinion for me?

 

Some additional information is needed to help make an informed decision...

-Will these tires be the only set you use all year round?
-If so, does it snow where you live?
-What type of expectations do you have from these tires? (extreme grip, long tread life, a good all around value)
-What is the most amount of money you are willing to spend on tires with installation?

I could continue but these will give us a great place to start.

toyo proxes 4. you won't be disappointed.

 

i have a set of falken 912s on my 18s and love them. they are quite and did good in the rain the other day. 88 a piece at disounttiredirect

 

I have the 512s onmy Yaris and they are ok.....but they are also at about 20,000 miles onthem.......my buddy runs the Kumhos and swears by them for good daily driving tires with a bit of performance.........

If you can afford it though go with something like the Proxies or Nittos........both are good tires.

 

i have the kuhmos on 18s there an ok tire not loud and ride good but if your looking for a good performance tire i would not recomend these the sidewalls are a little mushy other than that if your just using them for a daily driver your cannot beat them for the money

-a good all around value\
-like about 450-500

If you decide to go Falken, I would go with the ZE Ziex 912 over the Ze Ziex 512. I have had both on the tC and the 912's just over power the performance and ride quality of the 512's.
