Default Need Help and Suggestions from you pros

Hey I have a 05 Flint Mica TC and am looking to dress it up with some rims.

Definitley want to go 8" wide no less are there pros and cons to 18" vs 19". I do not want any rub and prefer better performance but the 8" wide I understand will help a lot over stock tires which are crap.

with the flint MICA leaning chrome

Share what you think looks good and if you have a flint mica and have upgraded rims show me what you did

The pros and cons to bigger/smaller wheels is loss of power (rotating mass) and gas mileage; nothing too major since most of the time the smaller wheels have fatter sidewalls than larger wheels with rubber band tires.

The last wheel; the Work VS-KF knockoff looks the best to be putting on a TC to me.

If you have to go chrome (not good for FM IMO), I think the TSWs look best.

Are planning on, or have you already lowered the car? That will have a major impact on what wheels you can run without rubbing issues. Wheel weight, as well as diameter will impact performance.

Here's mine:

18" x 8" SSR D5R with TRD drop.

captain, you say in your opinion. What would you pick in stead of chrome? I like it to jump out.

I also found the following I like: Opinions please

Well, I already choose bronze. Chrome just isn't my taste. If you're going for 'VIP' or sleek luxury look, I like the Gianelle V-5. As far as jumping out, semajames has some beautifull gold rims that really pop.

Hope he doesn't mind me using his pic.

19" wheels cost more. I know, duh. But you've also got to consider more expensive tires. Bigger wheels (and therefor smaller sidewalls) will diminish rid quality, increase braking distances, slow acceleration. 18" wheels are probably the best compromise between looks and perfomance.

Again, have already or do you plan on lowering it? Stock height should accept a lot of 19s without much trouble. When you drop the car (even with TRD) you are going to have fewer options.
