sounds good. For some reason SL is the only place where they hate Rotas and grids. I am on other forums where expensive, preformance cars have them and they dont get harrased for having them. IDK the bars have been raised sooo high for the Tc's on here lol. But damn the bars is hella sex now.

Just because they have been shown 18 times on here, doesn't mean everytime you drive your car you'll see 18 people with them on. I have yet to see one TC in person with these wheels.

They are cheap, they look great and who cares if they're "played out"? Are we in high school again that we have to keep up with current fashion trends?

For example, the new multi-colored titanium metal fad for all the intakes, exhaust tips etc... I hate the look of it but everyone has them.

Besides, almost any other car forum with more history of model line up than ours usually try to revert their newer cars that are slammed on some older style rare OEM wheel...

Long story short, do what you want, nice pics, nice ride, and I love the wheels no matter if you are the 19th or 1 millionth person to get them.

Peace out yo (<--- That's played out)

Off road is the proper backdrop for these pics lol. I like the way the gold and blue look together. Just needs to be closer to the ground.

They are fantastic wheels but...

Cheapest TE-37's I could find on Google Shopping:
http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...6&Car_Type=300

Cheapest Rota Grids on Google Shopping:
http://www.vexmotorsports.com/Rota-W...s-_p_6120.html

700 + for one wheel or just a smidge more for the whole set? If you got the money, by all means, but most of us don't. I would rock a set of grids no problem even though I could afford the TE-37's. I don't race enough for them to be worth their cost to me (or the OP I'm assuming).

wasn't rotas only 'bad rep' from a production run in the late 90's or something, track guys and all other car forums love them for their price/performance/look, i've got nothing against rotas either, i'd probably rather have these than my tenzo's just for weight reasons...

What has changed? Nothing, they still use the same Aluminum to make their rims. Their is a reason legit companies don't readily offer aggressive specs for 5x100 pattern, however. Rota is willing to offer almost any size for any bolt pattern. What does this tell us? It tells us that they only care about appearance and money. Copy designs from everyone and sell them at a cheaper price, that is their business practice and it will never change because its working for them.

Remember, some of their wheels only look nice because its a replica...how fair is that.

The only reason why i like the grid is cause of the aggresive concave look. I looked into the Volk TE's and i hated the flat face. So not only do they replicate but they sometimes make them look alittle better. I heard they are as strong as a reg OEM wheel cause 2 car Man. use them as oem wheels. I dont own them but if people cant afford them or just like them then they shouldnt be harrased for having them. Have you noticed that little by little the Te' are slowly getting playd out too?
(im a bigger fan of WORK and Advance wheels).

Do some research before you express your unguided opinion. TE37s have been out for quite some time. Way, way long than Grids. You are assuming they are getting played out? Geez...maybe its because they have been out on the market for a good part of your life.

Well thank you for that advice. Yes they are Vets of the wheel company's Thats all you had to say istead of trying to web bang on somebody that you dont even know. Maybe you will learn that with age. But thank you for the info on how long the Volk company had been running for. I could never find that type of information for the life of me lol.

Ok Domo, we get it. You hate grids. Get off the guy already. He likes his car and so do we. Go find a Grid hater thread to spill your guts into.

i liked them because of the concave look also. TE are a sick wheel but to flat for my taste. dont get me wrong i love the volk wheels but, the grids are what i was looking for and affordable.
