New rotors and pads brushing against eachother like crazy!
My driver side rear rotor and pads are brushing against each other as well as the emergency brake pads inside the rotors. Those are all brushing against each other and I can drive just like before but its like the brake is always on. I know the rear passenger side is ok because I jacked it up and rotated it fast and it makes no sound, so i took the both ends apart and fixed the driver side to be exactly like the passenger side and it still rubs. Especially on the top right emergency pad. I hate it so much! I cant even hear if the front 2 brakes are rubbing because the back is so loud.
Anybody has any words of advice or help? If not I'll just have Dave at work look at it cuz hes certified at brakes but if hes gonna charge me I'm taking it to........ Sears Auto

The rear hub brakes are adjustable. You can just back them off.
I'm not very informed on adjusting the calipers though, sorry. Are the tC calipers self-adjusting?

I hope they aren't. Because if they are then Its gonna cost to have someone fix it i dunno how. If they need to be adjusted (i hope they need to be) then somebody please tell me!
Other then that how do I adjust the inner brakes?

thought I saw a post before about this. yes the inner drum (rear) of the discs have the parking brake (small brake shoes) inside. and they are adjustable.
from what I can see, if you take the plug off from the disc you can then adjust the parking brake shoes. If you go counter clockwise with a flathead screwdriver to the star adjustment wheel, that should contract the shoes, causing them to not rub.
And as far as the regular brakes, they are inherently self-adjusting since they're hydralic, no adjustments required, they always adjust themselves hitting the brake pedal and releasing.

I'll have to check about the star that adjusts the shoes cuz I didn't think of anything like that. I know theres that rubber plug on the rotor but i didn't know what it was for. I thought there was something behind it, it was just a plug lol. I was thinking.. whats the purpose?

lol.. yep iKONA, that's what the plug is hiding is the star. why mess with sears when you can adjust this yourself and get it perfect? keep us posted!
