New Wheel Fitment Thread

The wheel specs seem on point but the H tech drop is where there MIGHT be a little problem. I've never had H techs so Im not one to say, but dont u think There might be a little wheel gap even after the new rims are on? Im not saying a huge space, but just a little gap. By all means go for it, try it out. But isnt the point of getting new rims to make everything look clean and smooth. Whats the point of having a clean set of wheels if your gunna have a gap between the fenders and rims, right?

yeah i understand thats why am trying to get as much help here as i can.
i would want to go lower in the future but first i need to find out how much gap and room will i have to play???? will i need my fenders rolled? pulled??? i wannt to drop it more but i will need to know which tire size? to use? will i need to stretch the tires???
has anyone tried some specs or close? to what i am trying to archieve? any pictures??? with similar offset? and same size wheels.
i seen lots of people running 17 slammed even 18's... but very few have 19's and the ones that do the offset are higher not so low like mines.

Right, thats whay Im saying go for the setup you have planned and then you will have a much brighter picture as to what you want it to look like or maybe it'll look fine the way its gunna be. DO IT! lol post 100 pics when your done haha. I have a feeling its gunna look really nice tho considering the fact that your gunna be on H not Ss.

hahaha yeah i will be getting the rims re-drill prob within a week or so after i will need to find less meaty tires cuz the rims currently have 235/35/19 front and 265/40/19 rear . i think those tire sizes will cause massive rubbing lol.... any suggestion on which tire size? to look for????

i ran 19's i had 19x8.5 et 35 and 19x9.5 et 10. i forgot my tire size i had. in my honest opinion 19's are way to big for tcs if your try to achieve "slamming" your car with 19's your not gonna even get close to it. but to make it work your not gonna need need camber arms the stock will fine just max it out. your gonna need at least one set of camber blots for your front. your gonna have to roll your fenders front and back. finding a tire thats a good stretch is not gonna be possible for a 19x8 for your backs you can. but if it was me i wouldnt bother with 19's i would sell them and save up for coils and for rims either in 17 or 18's you will be more satisfied. but thats just me im on 17x10 all around and i love this setup so much. but thats just me. everyone has there taste. hahaha

any suggestion on tire sizes???? for a 17x9.5?????????

Confusion is setting in
I am in the market for a set of 18x7.5 rims for my 2007 tc. I have questions with the offset, will a 45mm offset work with a stock car. I will be purchasing a set of coil overs in the near future and want to make sure the rims will work. Sorry if this is a re-post, I was unable to find my answer.

just found out that the tire I wanted to run would not fit this set up, I am going to look at 18X8 with either 40 or 45 offset. The graph is saying this will not be tucked, but I saw a post where this graph is based off a substantial drop is ride height. Is there any validity in this? Thanks for the help.

Agree with XIEmperorIX, what are you trying to do, what do you want from a setup?
I'm on 18x7.5 +42 with 225/40 18 Continental ExtemeContact DWS and lowered a good ways, no gap up front with ever so slight tire tuck for the rears. If I speed through a dip there's rub on the fender liner up front on the driver side since it pops out of place where the bumper and fender meet. Also if I don't slow down enough and turn and go up on an uneven pavement(my work entrance is like this) there's rubbing on the driver front fender liner. Practically have to slow to a crawl at times, going to have to put the heat gun to the fenderliner again. Lambda you'll be fine if the offset is 40 or 45, I'd go with a 225/40 tire size.

thanks for the respond XIEmperorIX and dropzone. My goal is to get a set of 18x8 in black wrapped in 225/40zr18 pilot sport a/s plus. I am also looking at getting a set of coilovers, dropping the car about 1.5is inches. I am new to this, so I just want to make sure what I want is going to work on the car.

What tire size were you planning on running that wouldn't fit a 18x7.5? That's what I don't understand. And are you wanting to tuck tire or are you just wondering if that drop you want will work that that setup? 1.5in drop isn't much lower than TRD springs (like 1/4 inches lower) so you won't be tucking.
Sorry I am still really confused by what exactly it is your trying to do. 225/40 is fine for an 8 or 7.5in wide wheel.
