lol, yeah, pirelli and nitto, but the falkens are the worst of the three, but also the cheapest . . . you get what you pay for.

? I am not sure what your post means . . .

They wear a little faster, ride a little noiser, have a little less traction . . . etc. no biggie, i knew what i was getting when i bought them. If you can get the others for close to the same price get 'em if not, get the falkens. they are acceptable.

well i had them on my last car and i liked them they feel better than the stock yokos on the tc. But the wet weather traction was pretty good on the 512's. The 912's are the new 512's suposed to be better in every category except weight but just a tiny bit heavier. I have never used or heard any reviews on the nittos so i would go with the 512's but id try and get the new 912's probably same price. Edgeracing.com has a good deal on the falken 912's.

I realize this is an old post, but I figured I'd add my two cents, as I have a set of Falken 512's on my car.

I bought them because of the price, low weight, and reports of good grip. They do handle pretty well (way better than the stocks that they replaced last year,) but I can confirm the horrible noise that other people have reported here. I also get the thrumming noise from them at low speeds and while stopping, and at highway speeds, they make a high pitched resonation that is audible over my exhaust, and kills my ears after a few hours.

Otherwise, they are wearing well (no strange uneven wear or feathering,) and have a ton of treadlife left. It pains me though that I'll probably end up replacing them well before they wear out, the noise is getting pretty bad.

I have run 512's many times & ran 1 set of neo gens. The 512 is just a decent all season tire available in lower profiles with good treadwear. They do run narrow compared to other tires of equal size so they have less of a chance of rubbing with wide / offset rims. They are NOT to be confused as a performance tire and they are not marketed as such. I never had any noise issues. Personally for the money I would run them again on a daily driver.

99.9% of scions are not track cars so going with a true performance short life tire is literally stupid if it is a daily unless you have deep pockets. If you are pushing your car on the street to a level were you need a true track tire on a daily driver then you are probably going to kill yourself or someone else My 2 cents.
