I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you'll have any trouble if you're just on HTechs.

Uhm you will probably have some rubbing, I know i have seen a few people rub with 225/40/18 when there is more than 2 people in the car. So with 235s it might be alittle worse, don't think will be excessive though

alright well that helps. the wheels are going to be new when i pick them up. im just trying to decide which tire size to go with. but it was between the 225s and the 235s. so i might 225s just to be sure. thanks for the help thought.

No problem,I am not totally sure either. Springs are kind of hard sometimes because some sit lower than others, I have seen some that have no rubbing and other that do.

definitely go with 225/40.

how much you rub depends on how you drive. high speed manuvers, going over speed bumps faster than a crawling pace, packing on the pounds (passengers and/or junk in the truck) will contribute to rubbing. youre on stock shocks will makes it even easier to rub.

225 should be the width you're looking for. If you're still worried about rubbing, try getting a 35 series sidewall. Less rubber to go up into the wheel well.

i think you mean just stock struts not springs since you stated the line before you are on htechs.

You'll definitely find more options in the 225/40 range. Sometimes 235/40 can get expensive.
If you want to play it safe, go with a 225 sized tire.

so let me ask one more question. wiht a 18x8 wiht 225/40 tires. what would be the best offset to go with so i dont rub on htechs and stock struts and shocks?. cause i found the same wheel in a +48 offset so im wondering if a +48 offset would be better then a +35. or if anyone can tell me what a better offset would be lmk. thanks

Deffinetly get the +35 w/ 225/40/18 tires. The front shouldn't rub. But when u get an alignment tell them to add as much negative camber as u need to not rub. It shouldn't be more than -1.5 though. What wheels are u getting btw? Jw.

+35 FTW. You won't be sorry. I have the same set up (18x8, +35 offset) but with TRD Springs.
I get lots of compliments on the stance and wheels. (5axis wheels in GM to be exact.) GL
