you can also get some 18s off special edition VW Jetta/Golf/GTIs from 00-05. These wheels typically cost alittle more than brand new knock-offs everyone else rolls on around here. So if cost is a major factor, certain OEM wheels may not be worth it.

BBS RC (18x7.5, et3 from the:
337 Edition GTI (02)
Jetta GLI (05)

OZ Aristo (18x7.5, et3 from the:
20th Anniversary GTI (04)
Golf R32 (04?)

There's also the forged BBS wheels from the 04 WRX STI, but the offset is too high for the tC. The 05+ have the same wheel but changed bolt patterns to 5x114.3.

There are other 17" oem VW wheels you can use as well (Long Beach, Monte Carlo, etc).

i used to have 17" Matrix wheels on my tC last year. theyre the exact same specs as stock tC wheels.

I was thinking the same thing. I've been stalking vwvortex.com for a while now. Thoes guys/gals have amazing taste! My favorite: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3134753

But I think the RC's would look great on a tC. Anyone have thoes yet?

i dont feel like i would be settling necessarily, my main thought was minimize cost by going with stock rims off other models... but its clear that it wont always be the case.

Just save and get what you want. Edgeracing.com has the some of the best prices on wheels and tires. Plus they offer free pickup if you live in south florida (woohoo!) but you have to pay tax (doh!) lol. Guess it works out to be the same. Gonna get some rims in May from there. By that time they should have more wheels in stock. Some of the nicer wheels in 17's are out of stock until the end of April.
