The stock wheels really are a nice design. The multi-split-spoke wheel is hot right now and the stockies do shine really nice when cleaned up.
But when you see them so often on every tC on the market, they do get boring after a while.

Thanks and yeah, the red stripe will go so it wont look like a pair of Hanes. I'm going to see if there is a place that will color in just the stripe there instead of doing the whole wheel. I've also found some vinyl strips that I could just place over the red, that way its not permanent in case I ever sell them.
I'm also looking for some locking lugs that match the cars color. I have locking ones now in chrome, but that was just because they were $35 and the shop had them right there in stock. I've seen some nice blue ones, but they're like $145 or something insane. Maybe I'll just get the chrome ones painted to match when I do the red-stripe delete.
But I just got a pay cut at work so we'll have to see whats the most efficient option.

dj spectre....paint calipers
lol (paint em and it'll actually compliment the wheels even better. (i think this is the first tc i've seen with white wheels other than my buddy's powdercoated one or a tc up in iowa; so definately unique as well)

But I've also never painted (or even disassembled) a caliper before.
Is it a PITA? Is sanding required like it is for things like the interior pieces or stock wheels?

Meh its just calipers. Just clean them up really good and take a wire brush or something to ruff up the surface so the paint holds. Last time I used the 1" foam brushes vs the standard brushes and it was much easer. The caliper paint I'm sure everyones using from Napa goes on really thick and is very easy to apply.

Yeah I've considered painting the calipers blue, since I figured white would be impossible to keep clean on them.

And to GQQSE, ever get any overspray on the car itself if a breeze blows by? or did you tape/bag/cover off the entire quarter panel?
