Default Project Wheel Face Flip

after thinking about what to do with my wheels,
I wanted to do something unique.
The look as of right now.

how it will look once flipped.

Why am I making a big deal out of this?
well the current rear wheel size is 18x10 +40. Reverse the face and the offset will be one digit or maybe a minus (don't really know).

Camber? Yes. (A LOT!) Fender flare? Yes. Pull? Hell yes.

Anyways, stay tuned for those who are interested

run about -5 and you would be good, maybe pull them just a tad.

already saw that post. it was still a weak offset after flipping.
just made this thread because I would be running a VERY low offset and an interesting topic for those who think it would be impossible to do.
Up to you if u wanna delete the post.

I thought Pete just mounted the faces on the back of the mounting surface instead of on top?

x2. Now if he's thinking of having the face flipped around so the wheel is mounted to look like pic #2(which is what he's planning I guess), it'll make airing up the tires/checking tire pressure interesting.

I'm pretty sure that was it. He went from +35 to +30 by doing that. If Night87 does this he'll go from +40 to like.... -5 or something insane. It would be interesting to see and would be pretty impressive to see rolling around. Thats a lot of lip to polish.

^Flipping the face around is different from what Pete did. I think all of Pete's setups have been functional, which mounting the face inside didn't affect that aspect.

Edit: If your wheel is 18x10 +40, and you just flip the face around to mount the wheel like pictured \/ wouldn't that make it 18x10 -40?

I LOL'd at the Xmod wheel flip.

You might take a second and contact BBS to see if the wheels can take it. "Not recommended" is one thing, but you would be changing where the stress points are on the wheel and that could be catastrophic... Not saying wont work but it might be worth your while to at least ask the question first...

having to run ridiculous amounts of camber just to run low offset wheels so you can say you did is stupid.

you will regret it when you burn through tires faster than gas.

nice thread find dropzone, some good info in there.

OP 18x10 -40 isnt going to fit stock metal. Theres just no way.

Unless you like poke like youve never seen before or you are going widebody,

And even then i doubt youd clear the suspension and stuff. Its a FWD car.
I dont think anyone has done negative offsets, or even 0 for that matter.

Most likely it's that the barrels aren't polished right? That'll make or break the setup.
