Default Refinishing Clear-Coated Rims

I have a question regarding clear-coated rims.
Rays Gram Lights 57 series come with clearcoated lips and half of the inner barrel. Some of the clear coats are coming off and some do have curbage, so i was wondering if sanding them down and polishing them would be possible. I'm not a professional when it comes to managing wheels so i need help. Should i re-clearcoat them or should i just sand it off, and polish em off

Steps would be awesome

it's very possible to do what you just said, except it's going to take you a grip of time to get the sandpaper through the clearcoat. then, of course, you'll have to work back up the grit spectrum to start polishing. if you had 2-piecers, i'd say to aircraft strip it, but for 1-piece, i think sanding's the only way to go realistically if you want to keep your face un-touched.
have fun. you're going to feel a lot buffer once you're done.

it's a 2 piece wheel so taking them apart is the first thing i'll need to do
i rather do this and save $150 per wheel hehe

are they bolted or welded 2 piece?
and fyi, some clearcoat won't come off with aircraft stripper, especially if they were anodized.
