Default repaired tire making road noise

is a repaired tire expected to be significantly noiser than a brand new tire? 'cause that's exactly what's happened to one of mine...

Most likely it's the plug they had put (assuming your repair was for a puncture). Maybe it protrudes too much/not flush w/ the current thread? Just check it out, pref the whole tire (just to be sure there's nothing else that's causing it to be noisy.)
