I'm starting to regret 225/40's myself, but I found a full set of 215/35/18 Toyo Proxes local with only 1000 miles on them for dirt cheap. Anyone have any experience to know whether or not these are good for stretching? My wheels are 9.5" btw.

FF monster, that's a perfect stretch. I'm on 215 and on a 9.5. Love it.

Jonny, go with 205/40. I'm guessing you got drag dr-31's.

yeah, jeremydoc, i came to the conclusion of using the 215's after talking it out with you. i was just curious how well the toyo's would stretch. also, how reliable would 215 series be on 9.5"s daily drivin vehicles as far as them not popping beads? I def tested out the 225's on a 26 hr road trip on crap roads to and from louisiana from florida with no issues. I was just hoping that I can rely on the 215's to be just as reliable.

I'm hating how little clearance I have on these 225/40s. But I love how they look.

Well I rub with 205/40's but I'm at et17... So 215/35 or 40 should be fine

Thanks. The rears need some shaving, nothing major, but the fronts are going to get wrecked.

That's without the wheel turned at all. I know some people are running 225/40 on the same wheel size and pull it off nicely. Just camber and more pull?

Camber goes a long way. I saw a pic of a tC with 9.5 grids and a lot of camber and it looked to be about an 0.5-1 inch of clearance between the tire and fender. I think he was just as low too.
