^He doesn't have TPMS sensors. That wasn't introduced until 2008.
You have to recalibrate the sensor. It uses rotational mass I believe to determine if one of your tires is low on pressure. And since you changed the wheels, of course it's gonna come on. There's instructions on resetting it in the owner's manual.

Disagree on the year introduced, 2007 was the first year of TPMS on the tC, I had a Spec package and was even on the 16" steelies.
6/10 - EDIT: TPMS sensors on the wheels started with the '07.

thanks Jon for your insight. Those other people just weren't reading my previous post correctly I guess lol. The car didn't come with a Owner's manual though, is there a site, or page you can refer me to in order to completely disable it properly?

I didn't feel like going outside to get my manual, but I found these steps online.
The tire pressure monitor detects any changes in the tire inflation pressure. Therefore, it must initialize and store it in its memory if the tires or wheels have been replaced or the tires have been rotated. you can re-initialize the system by following these steps:
1) Check and make sure that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure.
2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (in the glove box) until the warning light turns off and then release the switch. The tire pressure monitor detects any changes in the tire inflation pressure. 3) Now press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the low tire pressure warning light blinks three times.
4) Initialization is *not* completed until driving at the vehicle speed of 19mph or over for more than one hour. the tire pressure monitoring starts when initialization is completed.

I have a 06 and mine doesn't. According to this it shouldn't: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/scion-tc-1g-wheel-tire-1646/read-before-you-change-wheels-2007-tc-68883/

Everyone has the light, but how the car gets the info is different. In the 05-06 it's measured through the ABS system by sensing differences in rotational speed. In the 07+, there are 4 modules mounted on each valve stem on the wheels inside the tires.
