They're only around because their business is supported by cheapasses.

of course there's a ton of horrible stuff being sold... i guess what i meant was that they wouldn't be as popular as they are if they weren't a "quality" wheel at an affortable price... i dont know why so many people hate on them. i mean if everyone could save up for the wheels they want, then they would. but for some people money is tight and they want a good look for their ride so they get rotas... i personally dont really like them nor do i hate them, they are a wheel like every other wheel IMO...

I dont hate them either, but rotas too me are neither good quality nor bad quality. But what a lot of them are saying is the fact that everyone just jumped on the bandwagon as far as the rota grids. One person got them, now there are like 15 that have them. Nobody has gotten any of the other styles except for like 3 people. There are a million choices for rims out there, rota is not the only manufacture that has cheap wheels.

yea thats true.. everyone and their mother gots the grids. they're a nice set of concave wheels, but they're also getting played out quick... there are some other nice sets of rota wheels like the DPT, D2, P45R and some others that would look good on the tC... if i were to get some rotas, i'd get either the DPT since they got them in the size i want (18x9.5 et35) or the D2...

Seriously, I dont have anything against cheap wheels nor rotas, but I JUST HATE DAMN GRIDS. I believe that its fine if you want aftermarket wheels and you cant afford the best so you settle with rotas, or some other cheap brand like tenzo or konigs. Atleast know youre getting cheap wheels and dont pretend like bad_ss with lame wheels.

My thing against GRIDS is that it looks SO BAD. LIKE FORREALS--SO BAD. You can tell they are fake, even if youre not into cars or wheels. TE's were the icon of race wheels for the longest time. When you replicate something like TE's, youre bound to get flamed for being cheap.

guys seriously... who gives a F what wheels someone chooses?? personally ive got a lot of stuff going on in my life right now and cannot afford to buy a new set of CE28's... i would love to but cant.

Rota is decent, not the best, but certainly better than half the stuff out there... i.e. Drag... ewwww

Grids are damn sexy. Who gives a ____ if he spent 1200 instead of 5000? Not everyone is about the 'rare' parts or trying to be some 'JDM legend omgzorz'. It looks good and they like it. Hell I bet they get alot higher points in a show than someone with some baller rims and nothing else on their car. I paid 300 or 400 shipped with tires for mine NEW, and not a single person has looked at them and said 'if you had different wheels the car would go 50x faster' or 'if you had different wheels your car would win shows'. They work for me and I like them, ____ what some stuck up piece of ____ thinks.

If youre going to post in a public forum, get ready to hear all the opions whether it be good or bad. In this case, most people's opinions about rotas are BAD.

In any case, good for you that you got your wheels for whatever price you paid and that youre happy. Thats all the matter, youre happy.

However, in my opinion, grids look BAD. Knockoff replica wheels will never look as good as originals (lets leave the performance factor out of this). I, myself, am running cheap wheels. I have nothing against the Rota Company, or cheap wheels in general. What gets a lot of people mad is that people buy lame wheels and act high and mighty on the forums. Get over it. They're grids. Not TE's.

Im going to say it one more time: "envy is ignorance imitation is suicide"

indeed HIX. if you happen to curb rash or bend a high end wheel from daily driving, you'll probably pay the same amount of replacing 1 volk te37 wheel to 1 set of rota grids.

By quality I mean they work they roll they are used alot and alot of people recommend them. Obviously there is some quality there. now i would call volk, works, bbs and those type wheels companys top notch quality. So maybe that will clear up the picture.

Shoot i wish i could afford some mag blue ce28 but that aint happening. I roll some nice lookign wheels (to me) but they are by no means top notch.

An example of that kind of car show would be one held down the street in some parking lot where the trophies are $10 gift certificates to Starbucks or something equivalent.
