Default Silver Streak tC on 19" Tenzo GF7's

I'm posting this for my friend Brandon (nodnarb). His laptop crashed and hasn't been able to post pics of his car just yet, so he said I could for him.

After much debate, I talked him into 19" wheels. I find that 18's IMO don't fill out the wheel wells enough on these cars. Along with the right drop 19" looks great.

SO, he did it!

19x8.0" Tenzo GF7, 45 offset
225/35/19 Toyo Proxes tires
Hotchkis lowering springs, sway bars (to be installed), and front strut bar

Overall, and awesome start. The car handles amazingly well, grips tight even in rain, and looks oh so good! He's yet to encounter any rubbing either. We've even put 5 people in the car, tucked the back, and it still doesn't rub.

Enough talk, here's the car:

And last, here's a picture from this past weekend of his car at Nopi Nationals '06

It's kinda funny how well this worked, since we read previous threads of owners mentioning that you couldn't fit a 225/35/19 due to rubbing issues, and thus had to go with a stretched 215/35 set up. I'm much happier with Brandon's tire setup.

if you were on S Techs, you think there would be a huge difference? my friend drives with18's and he still rubs on the fender even when he all by himself. he has S techs.

I'm on s-techs and on 19s, no rubbing (except on big dips @ high speed)

love how the wheels take on a different look depending on lighting. In bright sun they almost match you paint color. Looks sweet

You might rub if you got 225/35/19 tires because of the bigger tire size and because s-techs drop it lower than the hotchkis, almost a half an inch more. I didnt want to go with 215 size tire cause I dont want stretched tires..just my opinion.

that looks awesome. 19's where i live tho would be a bold move. New Jersey dont take care of their roads, and i'd probably have a bent rim in 1 day. going to get 18's, but your friends, just wow. Looks great!
